San Gorgonio Pass Amateur Radio Club, Banning CA
The San Gorgonio Pass Amateur Radio Club (SPARC) is dedicated to the interests of radio communications and emergency preparedness, and provides a wide variety of volunteer services to its members and the community.
Weekly Nets:
Wednesday at 7:00 p.m., 2-meters, Simplex 145.510MHz. alternate 145.540 MHz. simplex
Wednesday 7:30 p.m., 75-meters, approx. 3.945 MHz. LSB (after completion of 2-M net)
On the 4th Wednesday of each month, the 7:00 p.m. 2-meter net will be held on the repeater, 147.915 MHz. down 600, PL Tone 123.
If there is a 5th Wednesday, the Simplex frequency will be used.
The Banning repeater W6CDF is monitored and used for local contacts: 147.915 MHz. down 600, PL Tone 123
Monthly Club Meetings:
Meetings are held at 7 p.m. at the Banning Emergency Operations Center, 3900 W. Wilson St., Banning.
4th Thursday of each month, January through October.
The November meeting is held on the 3rd Thursday
The December meeting is the annual Christmas Party.
The SPARC Board meets at 6 p.m. prior to each regular Club Meeting at the Banning Emergency Operations Center.

Ham Radio License Exam Sessions
We will be hosting Ham License Exam Sessions for 2010 on the following dates:
Saturday Jan. 23, 2010
Friday April 30, 2010
Saturday July 17, 2010
Friday October 15, 2010
Candidates for all license classes are welcome.
All sessions are from 0800 to 1200 hrs. The exam fee is $15.
The location will be the Banning Emergency Operations Center at 3900 W. Wilson St., Banning, CA.

Additional Information:
Club activities include a hobby Club for licensed Radio Amateur enthusiasts; a forum for the exchange of technical and general information about Amateur Radio; providing prospective members with the training required to obtain their Amateur Radio licenses; giving members a chance to improve equipment performance and operating efficiency in “on the air” activities; a second line of communication services for disaster assistance to the community, local, County and State agencies such as fire, police, Highway Patrol, Offices of Emergency Services, and public service agencies such as The Salvation Army and The American Red Cross; and service to officials at such public events as parades and athletic events.

Field Day
ARRL Field Day is held during the last weekend in June each year. Saturday afternoon of that weekend is open to visitors, from 12 noon until 4 p.m. Come visit us and see Ham Radio in action at Dysart Park,
